A Scrapbook From a Different Season

As an actor, I was always drawn to stories that explored the complexities of family, identity, and purpose. I delighted in unique work that asked meaningful questions with a splash of whimsy. To this day, I am equally at home diving into contemporary material as I am embracing a healthy dose of Shakespeare. His language, emotional depth, and transending humanness have inspired me since I first read Romeo and Juliet in my parents' empty bathtub at the age of seven (I built a fort).

Some of my favorite projects to date include performing in a site-specific production of As You Like It, where the environment became an active part of the storytelling, and portraying Mary Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life at the Spokane Civic Theatre.

For a time, acting has become a simmering passion as I dive deeply into my directing and pedagogy practice. Perhaps one day it will become a roaring boil again.
